fastlink software package provides faster version of pedigree programs of Linkage, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.10 (Yakkety Yak) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install fastlink
fastlink is installed in your system.
Make ensure the fastlink package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep fastlink *
You will get with fastlink package name, version, architecture and description in a table
